Hello All:

This is a reminder for the whitewater rafting trip as the sign-up  
period is running out.  You do not need to stay at Rainbow Mountain to  
participate.  They have a $60 supplement for the rafting trip only.

The outfitter is gay friendly Pocono Whitewater.  They were at Pride  
in the Park in 2006.

They are located just outside of Jim Thorpe.  You can meet the group  
there at 11AM, but you MUST call Rainbow Mountain to sign up.  See

Sept 28-30:  Whitewater Rafting Weekend.  We're trying something new  
here, so read on.  On Saturday, September 29, there is a release   
scheduled from the Francis Walter Dam, which feeds the Lehigh River.    
This creates excellent whitewater rafting with up to Class 3+ rapids.   
We'll car caravan about 50 miles west to the Lehigh Gorge and spend  
the day on the water.  Our usual, theme weekend rates (except for the  
Lodge) will include the whitewater excursion (all necessary rafting  
equipment, life jacket, free parking, shuttle service to/from their  
parking lot and the river and experienced river guides).  We need to  
pay the balance two weeks prior, so we will judge interest and make a  
final decision about this trip on Friday, September 14.
