The Philadelphia Falcons Soccer Club are actively recruiting players  
of all skill levels.  Anyone interested in joining should visit their

They've also forged an important relationship with the City of  
Brotherly Love Softball League to further encourage GLBT and allied  
athletes to network for the enrichment of sport within our community.

Our mission is to provide an environment where friendships, fitness, fair
play, and fun mix with a love of the game. Playing soccer, whether in
informal "pick-up," formed leagues, or national and international
tournaments, takes places year round.

The club is a member of the International Gay & Lesbian Football Association
and is proud to be inclusive to all who respect each other and the game.
Members are of all genders, ethnicities, ages, and skill levels.

In keeping with the mission set forth by the club, the Philadelphia Falcons
Soccer Club is constantly searching for ways to aid the community; this
year, we have elected to do outreach within HIV/AIDS-affected communities by
developing an annual health fair/soccer exhibition.  Additionally, we look
forward to forging new relationships with area GLBT-allied youth groups to
nurture our sport.

MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION:

Yearly membership fees are $40.00.  All are welcome to attend up to three
practices prior to committing.  This fee covers:

Cost of renting outdoor fields, pays for nets, balls, and other equipment.
Food and beverages for various social events
Discount on door fees for social events
Free training sessions
Tournament and league play is an additional charge, though it is our policy
to include all players regardless of ability to pay.  Confidential
scholarships are available for any/all Falcons-endorsed sporting events for
Falcons Club members.

CURRENT LEAGUE PLAY:

Pick up practices and scrimmages every Wednesday evening from 6-8pm and
Saturday mornings from 10-noon at Edgeley Field in Fairmount Park.  All
skill levels welcome.
